(WADDELL, Ariz.) ALA-West Foothills was no match for No. 1 Gilbert Christian, as the Knights rattled and rolled on the road, scoring a whopping seven goals to pave the way for their eighth-straight win. Junior Noah Cooper, who leads GCHS with 22 goals on the season, recorded a hat-trick in the affair.
Cooper has scored three goals on five separate occasions this year for the Knights. He also managed an assist against the Guardians.
Senior Caleb Barnett registered a beautiful goal in the contest, sending a rainbow-arched ball nearly 30-yards across the field, up and over the awestruck defense, and past the Guardians' befuddled keeper to give the Knights a 6-0 advantage.
Junior Nik Vranicic, junior Jackson Lundberg, and sophomore Greysen Ward also found the back of the net during the shut-out victory.

Vranicic also dished two assists for the Knights, adding four points to his season tally. Lundberg and Barnett coupled their respective scores with an assist each to combine for six points, while junior Tyler Jordan and senior Caden Anderson got in on the action with dishes of their own.
Juniors Hyatt Lang and Logan Liddy split duties in goal, playing 40 minutes apiece in the shutout. Liddy eventually notched the win, behind a stellar effort from the GCHS back-line.
The Knights return home this Saturday for a 12:00pm competition against Page. The match has been designated as Gilbert Christian's senior day event. Athletics will honor the five Class of 2025 senior players prior to the start of the contest.
