(GILBERT, Ariz.) Keon Talgo had the ultimate senior night on Tuesday, scoring a career-high 35 points as Gilbert Christian collected a huge 101-39 victory in the final home regular season contest of the season.
"Tonight was a great celebration of our seniors," Head Coach Jason Pasquariello said. "Keon was on fire in the third quarter, hitting six threes and setting a career high 35 points. Lopemi got out in transition, protected the paint and rebounded well. Caleb had some really good finishes and locked down on defense. Sam Rozier shows up every day and works hard, encourages his teammates so it was great for him to get a couple of buckets and hit a three at the end. All-in-all these guys have set a solid foundation for the future and I couldn't be more proud of them. It has been a blessing for me to have this group of seniors for my first year as head coach."
Four of the Knights' seniors started the game, as the energetic GCHS line-up jumped out to a 19-8 lead. The home team led the ball-game 40-18 at the break, before a monster 41-point third period blew it wide open.
Talgo's 35 came in 23 minutes of action. He also managed nine rebounds and seven steals in the affair.

Every player on the Knights' roster scored in the contest. Seniors Lopemi Omole, Caleb Schinker and Rozier put up 11, 9 and 7, respectively, while junior Jace Olson scored 12 and dished a team-high five assists in the win.
Accuracy was the name of the game for sophomore point guard Kamari Stanbury, who scored 8 points on 4-for-5 shooting in 12 minutes of play. Stanbury also stole the ball three times, and dished a pair of assists, while committing zero turnovers for Gilbert Christian.
The Knights travel to San Tan Foothills for the final contest of the regular season. The game is slated to begin at 7:00pm.
