(GILBERT, Ariz.) Gilbert Christian saw six players score in double figures as the Knights blew past ALA-West Foothills 104-59 in Tuesday's home opener. Senior Jace Olson compiled a game-high 33 points in 17 minutes of action, and senior Owen Fermoyle's versatility was on display again as he dropped 11, grabbed nine boards, and dished a contest-best 12 assists in 16 minutes.

Fermoyle also managed six steals in the affair. Through two games, Fermoyle is averaging 15.5 ppg, 9 rpg and 8.5 apg for the Knights.

If Olson's current 34.5ppg average were to hold through five competitions, he would be the state leader in scoring, while ranking sixth nationwide.

"This was a fast-paced game," Head Coach Jason Pasquariello said. "I thought we had great effort on defense, and the guys were flying around and covering each other. We also distributed the ball well, making extra passes on their press, and it resulted in 34 assists. The number of assists tells me that our guys are not just playing with each other out there, but for each other, and that is incredible to see early in a season. The team is really coming together and playing with hunger and enthusiasm."

Senior Tyler Burr made the most of his 13 minutes on the floor, recording 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting, while wrangling eight off of the glass for the Knights.

Two newcomers emerged to hit double-digits in the affair. Freshman point guard Colin Burke tallied 11 in as many minutes, and the crowd favorite, freshman Huck Lang, posted 11 of his own
while knocking down three from deep. Senior Rydan Barth joined in on the action, with a 10-point effort against the Guardians.

One shy of his own double-figure performance, was senior Logan Lucero, who logged nine points, but toppled the competition in the other categories, with seven assists and seven rebounds in the big win.

The Knights will square off against two big 3A programs next week, starting with a road trip to Seton Catholic on Tuesday (7:00pm), followed by a trip to Pusch Ridge on Thursday (7:00pm).
