(PRESCOTT, Ariz.) The Gilbert Christian swim team dove into the 2025 season on Thursday with a road trip to Prescott High School, where the Knights wasted no time making a statement in the pool.

The GCHS girls' squad battled stroke-for-stroke with the Badgers, ultimately outscoring Prescott 88–75 to capture the team victory. Senior Addison Goodwin highlighted the afternoon with two standout swims, dropping significant time in both the 200 and 500 freestyle to set the tone for her final season in green and gold.
 
On the boys' side, the Knights faced the challenge of competing with only three athletes, but the trio rose to the occasion, tallying an impressive 29 points against a much larger Prescott roster. Freshman Teagan Tolson turned heads with a personal-record performance in the 200 freestyle, a glimpse of the promising future he brings to the program.
 
The team heads to Florence next Thursday for a three-way meet against Florence, Morenci and Globe. Competition is scheduled to begin at 4:00pm.
