(QUEEN CREEK, AZ) Gilbert Christian suffered its first girls' soccer loss since February 18th, 2023 (691 days), falling 3-1 at Crismon High School on Thursday. The Knights' goal came from freshman Brinkley Stansberry.

Stansberry found the back of the net from the left side corner in transition, scoring following a beautiful passing sequence from sophomore Millie Torre and junior Jersi Wilson. Both players were credited with the assist for the Knights. 

Crismon outshot Gilbert Christian 7-4 in the affair, and led 1-0 at the break. The Rattlers extended the margin to 2-0 at 78:30, but it was short-lived as the Knights' goal came 44 seconds later following the subsequent kick-off. 

The 4A Conference Rattlers are 4-0 on the season. With the defeat, GCHS moves to 3-1 overall.

Gilbert Christian is back in action on Monday, January 13th at home. The Knights are scheduled to host 2A Trivium Prep (2-1) starting at 4:00pm.
