(FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz.) The multi-talented Kaleb Powell recorded four tackles, four field goals and four touchdowns on Thursday night, amassing a career-best 169 receiving yards as the Knights cruised past Fountain Hills High School, 46-7. With its fourth-straight win, Gilbert Christian football moves to 4-2 overall.

"I thought our team played great tonight," Powell said. "The winning-streak is nice, but we aren't done yet. We are already thinking of next week and getting locked in. We are out here playing for each other and we are ready to stun some people with our ability to play this game."

Junior quarterback Tyler Burr found his rhythm early, connecting with Powell in the first to give GCHS the 6-0 edge on a four-yard pass.

The duo struck again in the second, with Burr finding his target down the field for a 21-yard completion and touchdown, followed by a Powell field goal to make it 13-0. Sophomore Kamari Stanbury was next, turning up the heat later in the quarter with a huge 60-yard run for the Knights' third touchdown of the half.

Senior Jesse Morales got the party started after the break, scoring on a 20-yard fumble return to boost the already high morale for the GCHS defense.

The Falcons' lone touchdown of the evening, a 50-yard pass, came later in the third, bringing the tally to 26-7.

The fourth ended as the game began, with two more bullseye Burr-to-Powell scores, and a 55-yard rushing TD finale for Stanbury.

Gilbert Christian's defense was excellent in the affair, plaguing the Falcons relentlessly all evening with 27 solo tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 34 tackle-assists and 3 fumbles.

Sophomore Hyatt Lang brought energy to the field, boasting a team-best six tackles, six tackle-assists and a tackle for loss in the victory. Morales compiled three solos, five assisted takedowns and two TFL, along with his fumble recovery and touchdown for the Knights. Representing the junior class was Josh Rich, who added four tackles and three assists.

Seniors Nate Dickinson, Andrew McGuigan and Kaden Gorsline recorded two tackles apiece, with Gorsline padding his line with an impressive four tackle-assists, a sack, a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery in the affair. Junior Colton Rogers was also in on most of the action, garnering a tackle and tying Lang with the most assists for Gilbert Christian.

Burr was lights-out in the win, finishing the night with 242 yards on 18-of-24 passing (4 TD). Stanbury, a receiver, managed to rush for 129 on five carries and score a pair of touchdowns.
