(GILBERT, Ariz.) The Arizona Interscholastic Association announced its 2025-26 3A Metro All-Region football selections last week, and Gilbert Christian was well represented across all levels, highlighting the Knights' strong season and growing presence in the 3A ranks.
Senior
Kamari Stanbury was named to the region's top-team twice over, as a defensive back and as a punt returner, having a standout year on both sides of the ball for GCHS. Stanbury leads the region in interceptions, and is tied for the top spot in 3A, with a whopping 10 picks on the season. He also ranks second in the division with 18 touchdowns scored this year.
Joining Stanbury on the first team was senior
Hyatt Lang, who earned the honor as a defensive lineman, anchoring the Knights with 57 tackles and a 3A Conference-best 13.5 sacks in 2025. Lang was also recognized on the second team as an offensive utility/flex player for his effort as Gilbert Christian's tight end.
Both Stanbury and Lang have received offers to continue their careers at the collegiate level.
Also selected to the 2025 3A Metro 2nd Team were the versatile Scott brothers: junior
Evan Scott (linebacker) and sophomore
Pierson Scott (kickoff returner). Junior
Kai Ahlman was also selected to the second team (receiver) providing steady production in the Knights' passing game.
The Knights were further represented with a deep group of Honorable Mention selections, including senior
Noah Cooper (punter), senior
Caleb Ely (quarterback), junior
Camden Gorsline (running back), senior
Bennett Juve (receiver),
Pierson Scott (defensive back), and Stanbury (receiver).
