(GILBERT, Ariz.) Senior Tyler Burr, sophomore Dane Coyle, and junior Nate Nielsen combined for six of Gilbert Christian's eight hits in the Knights' 7-2 victory over Payson on Monday evening. Sophomore starter Jackson LaRoche picked up the win on the hill, striking out eight in 5.1 innings of work.

Burr's two connections were quite the impressive duo- a three-run bomb in the first, and an rbi double in the fifth. Coyle, for his part, added a pair of doubles to his blossoming resume, while senior Sam Webb logged the games' lone triple. Webb, who went 1-for-2 at the plate, walked twice and stole a base for Gilbert Christian against the Longhorns. 
 
Freshman Camden Pallas collected the Knights' remaining knock, a two-rbi single in the sixth. 
 
With the win, GCHS improves to 6-1 overall. 
 
Top-ranked Valley Christian (4-0) is next on the docket for the Knights. Gilbert Christian will host the Trojans at Titan Solar Park on Wednesday, April 2nd, at 6:30pm.
