(GILBERT, Ariz.) Gilbert Christian took down Chandler Prep 5-0 in Beach Volleyball action on Wednesday. The No. 12 Knights are 8-4 overall, with one contest remaining in the regular season.
The Titans brought some competition to the sand for GCHS, but the Knights held strong, winning every set to pull off the sweep.
The ones pairing was particularly close, as freshman Lillie Duitsman and sophomore Alexia Heyn found themselves trailing 20-16 in the opening set, before rallying back with incredible play to claim the 22-20 victory. The duo continued to roll in the second as they ended the evening with a 21-17 win.
Sophomore Tylee Fox and freshman Ella Preus made quick work of their No. 2 challengers, with a 21-13, 21-17 showing, and sophomore Sidney Loth and freshman Sienna Cathey were dominant in the three spot, coasting to their 21-13, 21-14 point.
The most one-sided win of the match came from the fours, sophomore Ainsley Fore and sophomore Selah Hommel, who sailed past Chandler Prep's Emery Stuck and Jillan McDonald 21-8, 21-12.

The defensive specialists, sophomores Addie Steil and Sophie Dickinson, teamed up in the five showdown, and worked their magic to earn a 21-18, 21-16 victory for the Knights.
Gilbert Christian's final match before playoffs is against fifth-ranked Valley Christian. The road game is scheduled for April 10th at 4:00pm.
