(GLOBE, Ariz.) Girls basketball posted a dominant 73-15 victory over Globe on the road Tuesday evening. The team found its rhythm offensively, and swarmed the Tigers defensively to record its second-straight win of the season.
"I thought our shot selection was the best that we have had so far," Head Coach Mark Duitsman said. "We were aggressive with our pace, without it feeling forced. Our outside shots were falling and we were intentional about getting post touches. Our ball movement is improving, and that helps us get good looks at the basket."
The Knights led the contest 50-5 at the half. Every player on the team contributed in the scoring column, though the Knights got double-digit production from junior Kaila Aston, sophomore Unesu Machiri and junior Chloe Lehman.
Sophomore Tylee Fox stood out in the affair, anticipating well defensively to lead the squad in steals. Junior Mileigh Allan got after it on the boards, to tally a team-high in the rebounding category.
Gilbert Christian returns to the court on December 11th for a match-up with Benjamin Franklin. The game is slated to begin at 5:30pm.
