(GILBERT, Ariz.) Gilbert Christian volleyball celebrated its four seniors in style on Wednesday night, defeating ALA-Ironwood in straight sets (25-18, 25-12, 25-10) in the final game of the 2025 regular season.

Lily Midthun and
Gracie Ray for their contributions to the program. Gilbert Christian also recognized seniors from the cross country and swim teams during the ceremony.
Junior
Lillie Duitsman powered the Knights' attack with a team-high 13 kills, while classmate
Sienna Cathey was nearly unstoppable, converting on 75 percent of her attempts to post 12 kills of her own. Senior
Alexia Heyn also hit double-digits in the front row
, adding 11 kills and a trio of blocks as the Knights dominated the net against the Warriors.

Sidney Loth directed the offense efficiently with a match-best 18 assists, and sophomore
Kendall Moore dished 11
to round out a balanced play-making effort. Moore also managed five digs for the Knights.
Loth recently surpassed the 1,000-assist career mark- a milestone that highlights her leadership and consistency throughout her three seasons on varsity. She currently sits at 1,294 career assists, compiling 694 in 2025 alone, with the state tournament still to come.
Leading the way defensively was sophomore Shay Loth, who anchored the back row with 16 digs. Duitsman also tallied 10 pick-ups on the back-line, showcasing her all-around impact.
The win marked a complete team performance from Gilbert Christian, combining strong serving, defense, and attacking efficacy to sweep the Warriors while sending Heyn, Loth, Midthun and Ray off with a memorable final victory.
The Knights finish the regular season at 24-5 overall (14-3 3A Conference), securing a place in the 2025 AIA 3A Volleyball State Tournament. Championship play is scheduled to begin on November 8th at Millennium High School.
