(FLORENCE, Ariz.) Volleyball claimed a dominant road victory on Thursday, beating ALA-Anthem South in straight sets (25-3, 25-11, 25-11) to move to 8-6 on the year. The Knights sped through the match using bullseye serving to record 19 total aces and were led by freshman Sienna Cathey who managed six of her own in the contest.
"We did a great job staying aggressive and playing our game," Head Coach Alyssa Misuraca said. "I thought Sienna's assertive play was a factor on both sides of the ball tonight, and I was also impressed by Kaila Aston and Kaedra Lloyd and their ability to play big at the net for us."
Lillie Duitsman continued to add to her powerhouse outside hitting stats, recording a team-best 12 kills in the affair. The freshman's 262 kills on the year have earned her a first-place rank in the 3A South Central Section, tops in the freshman class for Arizona (all conferences) and a 19th overall standing in Arizona at any class level.
Junior Caroline Dotas took the setting crown on the day, dishing out 11 assists in a single set of play for the Knights.
